Cymande's inspiration from her late father Big Chief Larry Bannock and her love for unique color combinations and design aethestic fueled her to create pieces that are now being worn worldwide. The name UglyBetty stemmed from her love of the 2006 series Ugly Betty about a girl whose style seemed a little awkward and nontraditional but unique in its own sense. The name BoyCrush came from Cymande's love of a man who expresses himself through his clothing and accessories. Cymande credits her motivation for success and need for impeccable customer service to her Mother, Rhonda Ford "Ms Jazz Fest" , sister Niya Cooper, and niece Brieanna who is the reason UglyBettyBoyCrush by Plusisaplus exist!
